Adopted person offended by Obama’s remarks
On April 1, I saw a part of a speech on TV given by Barack Obama. He was discussing the need for quality sex education and the benefits of abortion rights. He used his 6- and 9-year-old daughters as examples. He said that he wanted them to receive quality sex education but, if they made a mistake, did not want them to be “punished” with a baby.
As an adopted person, I take great offense to this remark. In my lifetime, I served in America’s military for more than nine years. I have two college degrees. I have worked and have paid more in taxes alone than many people make in a lifetime. To Sen. Obama, am I nothing more than a mistake?
If you are adopted; if you have a child, or a friend, or a loved one who is adopted; you need to know that this man considers such human beings to be “mistakes” and sources of “punishment” who would have been better off being flushed down the drain.
How anyone could know this and cast a vote for such a man is beyond my comprehension!
