Who is Matisyahu’s God?

I’ve known about Matisyahu for a while, but I never listened to him before tonight. I’m staying the night at a friend’s house and I was looking at their shared iTunes songs and they had some Matisyahu. If you don’t know who he is, Matisyahu is an hasidic Jewish reggae singer. He has become quite popular with videos playing frequently on MTV.

Much of his music is laden with Biblical language, and thus it appeals to many Christians. Such lyrics include:

In the ancient days, we will return with no delay
Picking up the bounty and the spoils on our way
We’ve been traveling from state to state
And them don’t understand what they say
3,000 years with no place to be
And they want me to give up my milk and honey
Don’t you see, it’s not about the land or the sea
Not the country but the dwelling of his majesty

Jerusalem, if I forget you,
fire not gonna come from me tongue.
Jerusalem, if I forget you,
let my right hand forget what it’s supposed to do.

One of the songs is called “King Without a Crown.” Some of the lyrics are:

You’re all that I have and you’re all that I need
Each and every day I pray to get to know your peace
Wanna be close to you, yes I’m so hungry
You’re like water for my soul when it gets thirsty

If you’re drowning in the waters and you can’t stay afloat
Ask Hasheem for mercy {and} he’ll throw you a rope

Much of the song is encouragement to seek God and to try to live a better life, asking for God to help you do so. Apparently Matisyahu was a heavy drug user earlier in his life, and the video and song are obviously an autobiographical depiction of someone who overcame their demons.

I have heard a lot of Christians say they like his music. I agree that his music is good… but if someone is looking to Matisyahu as a prophet proclaiming God’s Word, I’m afraid he is very far from it.

The title of the song is “King Without a Crown.” Such a title may sound familiar to Christians. Jesus is often described in such a way. However, this is not at all what Matisyahu is referring to in his song. He continues:

If you’re drowning in the waters and you can’t stay afloat
Ask Hasheem for mercy {and} he’ll throw you a rope
(You’re) lookin’ for help from God; you say he couldn’t be found
Searching up to the sky and looking beneath the ground
Like a King without his Crown
You keep fallin’ down
You really want to live but can’t get rid of your frown
You(‘re) try(in’) to reach unto the heights and wound bound down on the ground

Matisyahu’s King without his Crown is not Christ, it is himself. The chorus of the song reveals more:

What’s this feeling?
My love will rip a hole in the ceiling
(I give/Givin’} myself to you {now} from the essence of my being
and I sing to my God, songs of love and healing

I want Moshiach now so it’s time we start revealing

I’m not entirely sure what he means by “it’s time we start revealing.” But it is clear that Matisyahu is still waiting for the Messiah (Moshiach). Jesus made it clear that he was the Christ, the Messiah:

Luke 24:25 And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Consider also the words of Christ to the Pharisees:

John 5:30 “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me. 31 If I alone bear witness about myself, my testimony is not deemed true. 32 There is another who bears witness about me, and I know that the testimony that he bears about me is true. 33 You sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth. 34 Not that the testimony that I receive is from man, but I say these things so that you may be saved. 35 He was a burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light. 36 But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father has sent me. 37 And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen, 38 and you do not have his word abiding in you, for you do not believe the one whom he has sent. 39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. 41 I do not receive glory from people. 42 But I know that you do not have the love of God within you. 43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him. 44 How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”

So then. the question is, who is Matisyahu worshiping?

Matisyahu is worshipping the God of Israel. Orthodox Jews do not believe the Messiah (Moshiach) has arrived. Religious Jews throughout history have rejected the idea that Jesus was Messiah. Jesus did not fulfill any of the things Jews believe the Messiah will fulfill. Matisyahu is simply an adherent to traditional Judaism who follows the Torah law dating back to the time of the giving of the Torah about 3,300 years ago. His music is not Christian and does not adhere to any Christian religious concepts.

His lyrics are just ok because of that. Its time for people of all Nations to wake up before its to late. I have read alot here. but let me make it clear: lot Christians say that they need to convert Jews. But what does the Bible say about the Jews? Will they be saved without Yeshua? Yes. it is clear, maybe blinded but still The Lord have a different judgement on them… so why Judge them… WHat does the Bible say about followers of the Messiah? They need to walk like Yeshua? How did he walked? He kept the Torah, He kept the sabbath, he didnt ate pork.. what is modern Christianity teaching? The opposite. Before pointing a finger towards others watch yaself…. what is important: the Bible or the Words of your preacher….

Jesus lived by The Torah while he was here on earth solely because it was his purpose to fulfill it. Romans and Hebrews give a great deal of revelation to what Christ accomplished by his death and resurrection. Nobody in existence other than Jesus has ever been live 100% clean and free from sin in accordance to The Torah/Law. Therefore us, or all men, having already sinned and broken the command of God, being liable for our sins, require a savior.

  2. Marc, my point was that Jesus said if someone believes Moses (the Old Testament), then they will believe Him as well. The conclusion in Jesus’ day was that the Pharisees who claimed to be worshiping “the God of Israel” were not in fact doing so, that they did not in fact believe Moses, because they rejected Christ. The same is true of Matisyahu.

  3. Good post on Matisyahu. I’m not into reggae or Judaism for that matter but I am interested in him as an artist. I’ve listened to him a bunch of times over the years but he seems to get lost on my ipod.
Thanks for picking apart some of the lyrics; I think I’ll take another listen soon.

I do not agree with what you said about what he means when he says in his song “I want Mashiach now” that he does not believe Jesus. Personally I also want Mashiach (Messiah, Christ, Jesus, God’s anointed One, Jesus, God in Flesh) even though I already have Him. Many times when we have something we don’t think of saying that we want what we already have. But with Jesus it is different, because we can NEVER get enough of him. When he says “It’s time to start revealin'” I think that as Christians we could take it to mean that it’s time to start revealin’ to the world who Christ truly is. Now I’m not saying that I know Matisyahu’s heart (only God does) but I do think that we could investigate more into what Matisyahu TRULY believes about who God is, and who the Mashiach is as well. Maybe Matisyahu has the Mashiach (Jesus) and just wants more of Him. Also, if Matisyahu is truly a Hasidic Jew then why does he sing of the Love and Mercy of God. I thought that Hasidic Jews only observed the Mosaic Law. It is not my intention to sound belligerent in this note, I just want to question and debate so that all who are in this community and whoever reads it may be edified for the GLORY of Christ (Ephesians 1: 3-12) God bless you all in THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES amen! (1 Peter 2: 9)

Joshua, that’s a very good point that we always need Jesus and should continually want more of Him. With that being said, are there any songs that Matisyahu sings which are about Jesus Christ, His crucifixion, His resurrection, or the forgiveness that comes through Him? I strongly believe that if Matisyahu has truly found Jesus Christ to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life, then He wouldn’t be so ambiguous about it in his lyrics. Paul writes in Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

And in 1 Corinthians 9:16 “For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!”

If you can find a song in which Matisyahu is preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, please share it with me so I’ll know what I’m talking about from now on! lol

I really thik so. It`s similar to accepting the old testimony by C`s. I see that this devotion to almighty God is pure jewish so there`s no conflict with old testimony, is there? Jesus did not come to breake Ten Commandments, his earth life was such a completion of God`s revelation and accesing salvation for other ones beside chosen nation. (sorry for this Christian comment`s brothers)
I bless to Matisyahu in the name of God of Isaac, Abraham and Jacob, God of king David and Moses and so on. Jesus was jew too… so i do belive that we belive in the same God.

The issue is not whether the Old Testament is consistent with and important for Christians, because it absolutely is. The question is if Matisyahu understands the Old Testament. Jesus Christ says he does not. John 5:46

50 sheckel also did the same thing and now became a Jewish believer this is a fulfilment of Romans 8,9,10 and 11.

He is worshipping the God of the bible. I don’t why some moron would even say that. Accepting Jesus is God’s Passover and a fulfillment of scriptures and contrary to the first comment.

Many Jews are now seeing that Jesus did fulfill 100’s of scriptures. Such as Isaiah 53. Ask why
Jewish rabbi’s don’t like to read Isaiah 53:5.

For a Jewish person to accept Jesus is about the most Jewish thing a Jew can do. Jesus was a Jew.
All his disciples were Jews. Jesus said I have come for the Jews.

The New Testament was written by all Jews including a Rabbi. Paul was a trained Rabbi.
Paul said the Gospel is to the Jew first then
    then the Gentile.

Absolutely, which is why Paul says: Romans 2:28 For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. 29 But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.

Which is why Matisyahu is not a true Jew.

I am getting into this a bit late but decided that you guys needed a little more light shed on the subject, especially regarding the post above from “messianic” –

Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophesies…that should be common knowledge. If he did, wouldn’t all Jews believe that Jesus is the messiah? He didn’t build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28); gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6); usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease [as it says: “Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore.” (Isaiah 2:4)]; spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one [as it says: “God will be King over all the world — on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One” (Zechariah 14:9)]. Jesus historically did none of these. Jewish texts (which Christians are said to have adopted) show that the Messiah will fulfill the prophecies outright – no concept of a second coming exists.

The moshiach is supposed to be an everyday man, not a god, as well as a descendant of King David (via Davidic blood). The later Christian texts claim that Jesus was the product of a virgin birth – no sex, no father – and thus could not have possibly fulfilled the messianic requirement of being descended on his father’s side from King David. For those who would like to counter this with an argument that lineage is recorded on the mother’s side, the House of Jacob is the Jewish women while the actual Kingdom of Israel refers to the men.

As the site below states, the moshiach will lead the Jewish people to full Torah observance. The Torah states that all mitzvot remain binding forever, and anyone coming to change the Torah is immediately identified as a false prophet. (Deut. 13:1-4). Throughout the New Testament, Jesus contradicts the Torah and states that its commandments are no longer applicable. (see John 1:45 and 9:16, Acts 3:22 and 7:37). It is noted in your New Testament that the Pharisees witnessed Jesus not observing shabbas (sabbath). That is an example of Jesus neglecting one of the binding mitzvot and saying that it “no longer applies.”

I had a bit of help from an online source to gather my thoughts together, but nevertheless these are facts. If you would like to read them wholly, here is the website:

Wow, this is an incredible judgemental blog I’ve ever seen. And it’s apparent, you really don’t understand what Jesus was referring to. He is a true Jew, even if he doesn’t believe that Jesus was Messiah. He just isn’t the Jew that God/Abraham/Moses was wanting His people to be.

But you have to look at things more like this: they have had God for a while and they’re still waiting on the Messiah. Most Jews haven’t even bothered to really read the Gospels any why do you think they haven’t? How many years have Christians killed in the name of Christ? How many times do you hear Christians screaming Jesus did away with the Law (which contradicts the prophecies perstaining to the Messiah)? It would be like asking a Christian to just test-drive the Mormon’s bible, to see it it holds truth. Paul talks about making Jews/Gentiles jealous of what we have. That hasn’t happened in the church yet so really, is it shocking that Jews don’t test drive a book that ‘seems to have’ lead so many “faithful followers” of Jesus to slay so many innocent people for not converting? Or even a website that says that Matisyahu doesn’t believe in God because he hasn’t (more than likely) been exposed to the truth?

So Jesus condemned all Pharisees? That’s an error on your part. I think you should probably re-read your bible and learn to put things into context instead of being antisemetic. The problem with our churches today is we do not study exactly what is being said, we just take verses and throw them at people.

You’re suppose to provoke Jews and Gentiles to jealousy, not take away from what they are. Fact is, Matisyahu is a Jew. Don’t post things out of context.

    1. The problem with your assumtion that Paul thinks Jews are not Jews if non-believers can easily be proven just by reading any of his other letters where he also talks about unbelieving Jews, or where in Gospels/Acts they refer to ‘Jews’ and ‘believers’. The point Paul is making is about faith, as Paul previously says uncircumcision is nothing to God without faith. Same with your status as Jew or Gentile. It means nothing without faith. So in context of Paul’s theme, being a Jew is not enough.

Tell me, if you met Matisyahu, would you tell him he’s not a Jew because it’s hard for him to put his trust in Jesus, which has been ran through pagan reigns over the years and has lost all of His Jewishness thanks to the church? How would you actually convience him that Jesus is actually the Jewish Messiah he’s waiting for? (By the way, Matisyahu worships the God of Israel, much like us, he just lacks the Messiah for salvation.).

      1. Simply because the word “Jew” was applied to physical unbelieving Jews demonstrates nothing against the clear testimony of Scripture that a true Jew is one inwardly. Being a physical Jew means nothing anymore. It no longer has any special significance in God’s eyes. The only thing that matters is faith. The wall of separation between Jews/Gentiles has been torn down. To continue to erect false barriers based on physical lineage is to turn your back on the work of Christ.

Ephesians 2:11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.

Romans 9:6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, 7 and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” 8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.

Galatians 3:23 Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. 24 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, 26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

And yes, I would tell Matisyahu he is not a Jew and he is going to hell if he does not repent and place his trust in Christ, just like every Gentile who does not trust in the finished work of Christ. The Bible has not been run through any pagan reigns. Yes Rome has corrupted the gospel, but Scripture alone is sufficient and it leaves Matisyahu without excuse.

(By the way, Matisyahu worships the God of Israel, much like us, he just lacks the Messiah for salvation.).

Jesus (the God of Israel) disagrees with you. I’ll take His side.

  11. Your article is “Who is Matisyahu’s God?” and you just answered it. He worships the same God. That was partly my point. He does worship the same God.

Whatever happened to those verses where the same God you claim to worship tells you not to judge someone (judging meaning not to judge someone to an eternity to anywhere since you really don’t know)? And how is that going to lead Matisyahu to Jesus, by telling the guy he’s going to hell? Plus, he would automatically look at you as a foolish person for saying he’s not a Jew. Then you would come around with why he needs Jesus. I can tell you this: you’re not going to lead anyone to the Messiah with that antisemetic view. Yes, it’s antisemetic. I understand what Paul’s saying and he’s right but regardless, Jews are Jews without faith and with faith. If I don’t believe in Jesus, am I not still a Gentile? Or does that only apply to the Jews?

As for Jews and Gentiles, all of those things you are bringing up is for their faith. God will not look at a Jews heart as being more worthy of salvation than a Gentiles heart and visa versa. However, the Jews are still God’s chosen people, if you believe that our unchanging God didn’t change His mind in His covenants and believe the word everlasting truly means forever. That’s why Israel will always be protected. This doesn’t mean the unbelieving Jewish people do not need their Messiah as well, as anyone who wants God’s salvation needs Him. You hold that replacement theology to heart, and that’s certainly not so. That’s a horrible non-Christian doctrine.

I also don’t believe the bible is ran through pagan practices, but one would have to be blind not to see how much pagan traditions have been ran into the church (not the bible). Not so? Say that next time you have your ‘harvest festivals’, your Christmas days, your Easters, and your Sunday is the sabbath services. Today’s ‘church’ is nothing like the church that Jesus established. Is that still Rome’s fault?

I don’t disagree with the bible or Paul’s letters, man, but you’re taking things in a college bible scholar look at things without remembering what was said in that ‘old testament’ that most people ignore or just use for quoting random things from. God has always been a God of faith, not a God of works.

According to your doctrine, it is a syllogism. Outside of Christianity, it is not a syllogism because your A (out of contentions A, B, and C) is not universally necessarily true. Under Christianity it is, but outside it may not be. Your assumption for A makes my deductive reasoning just as likely, though we know that most black people work.

Matisyahu does worship God, just not in the same way you do. You use a mediary, we do not. It is called blasphemous to use a mediary to pray to G-d, so we don’t. Stop condemning Jewish worship and dogma through a Christian lense. Take it off, then look at the religion.

Also – “Analogy” does not have to be this:that. An analogy is simply re-forming existing patterns in the language. The most common form is this:that; I’m sorry you weren’t aware of such things.

It’s cool. Do you understand, though, what I was saying about the lens thing? Everything you’re saying is moot if it’s just based on Christianity because it automatically negates all other belief systems. You may think your system is true, but you do not know for sure. If you say you do know for sure, I’d like to slap you. No, you don’t know. You can have faith – that’s what faith is for, lack of actual knowledge. Therefore, you can have a beef with Matisyahu’s belief system or the people who are commenting on this post, but only because you are seeing this from a Christian perspective. If you took off your Christian lens, you would see and understand that Matisyahu is worshipping God in his understanding…based on original text. Not translations – as real as can be. Judaism is based on academia and spiritualism. Based on that, don’t you think if there was a reason for Jews to believe in Jesus, we’d see it? Thousands are paid to study every word of the Torah every day. It’s a good thing. Just accept it; there’s no reason to discuss a moot point.

      3. don’t you think if there was a reason for Jews to believe in Jesus, we’d see it?

John 12:36 When Jesus had said these things, he departed and hid himself from them. 37 Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him, 38 so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:

“Lord, who has believed what he heard from us,
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

39 Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said,

40 “He has blinded their eyes
        and hardened their heart,
lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
        and I would heal them.”

41 Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him.

      4. Aviva

Like I said – that doesn’t point to Jesus. Isaiah speaks of Moshiach. Isaiah is one of the main prophets, as you probably know. He was not speaking of any one person specifically, but of the person who would truly be Moshiach, whether or not that is Jesus. So, you and John can fill in Jesus’ name to fit Isaiah’s prophecies if you’d like. There are reasons we do not accept him as Moshiach – he does not fit many of the specifications, possibly the most important ones. Just because someone performs miracles doesn’t mean one is divine. Moses performed miracles out of necessity. Jesus did it (?) to legitimize his claims of being the son of G-d (though you see that miracles do not necessarily guarantee anything of the sort). Thus, with our strict doctrine, it is easy to shoo away the idea of Jesus as Moshiach (or “blind” our eyes, in Isaiah’s terms) since his legitimacy is very much so in question when you really look at it – just like all the others who claimed to be Moshiach. 12. A Judaizers, being the ones who taught works earned salvation. Can you verse where Paul say they’re going to hell?

Do that and I’ll provide your alternative exegesis of the texts.

By the way, guy, I can talk where I want. This is the internet, welcome to the internet.

    1. Galatians 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

BTW “guy” I can block you anytime I wish. Yes, this is the internet, and yes, this is my blog. If you are willing to provide a meaningful contribution then I welcome it. Otherwise, please take your comments elsewhere.

      1. So right, to supplement DryvBy’s earlier comments, hell isn’t an Old Testament concept. I guess someone made it up somewhere (or mistranslated, which is probably the case). Hell, as some would like to translate it, is from the Hebrew sheol, which means grave…just a grave. That’s all it is.

This eternal suffering stuff is such an interesting notion when one examines, like DryvBy pointed out, that the one who preached the existence of such a place is also the one who said he will not judge you. Contradiction? If hell is real, then why didn’t Moses say something about such a punishment when he delivered the 600 Mitzvot atop Mount Sinai? The collection includes warnings, but hell certainly isn’t in there. Hell is just a Christian adoption of pagan ideas.

A great example I found follows:

If Hell is real, why did G-d tell the Jews that burning their children alive in the fire to the false god Molech, (in the valley of Gehenna ) was so detestable to Him? God said that such a thing “never even entered His mind” (Jer. 32:35). How could God say such a thing to Israel if He has plans to burn alive a good majority of His own creation in a spiritual and eternal Gehenna of His own making?

Look, the Jews are called G-d’s Chosen people. That’s great, I’m happy. But really, it doesn’t matter what you believe because no matter what religion you are, we believe that our all-loving G-d will bring you into his circle when you die. I’m sorry that you, Brandon, have adopted such a hateful outlook towards those who are not Christians.

  13. Wow, are you a preacher of some sort? You have a horrible attitude to someone who comments on your page. I could tell your antisemetic venom you leave when you say:

    Jesus is God.
    Matisyahu does not worship Jesus.
    Matiyahu does not worship God.

Which again, Paul says in Colossians 2:9 that Jesus is “bodily” all of God. The God of Israel is still Matisyahu worships the God of Israel, the same God Jesus worshipped, however, Jesus predicts that the Jews will be blinded for a while as well as the Gentiles would follow their old practices. That’s why Jesus needs to come back. That and to actually restore that peace. I’ve read Matisyahu’s belief in Jesus and it’s not that he doesn’t believe, it’s because he looks at the people that follow Him and sees nothing but evil throughout the times (which God warns against in Isaiah) and sees how our church acts today: you need to convert to Christianity to accept Jesus. I truly think if a lot of the Jewish community actually read the gospel, they’d realise it’s as Jewish as they come and it’s very much the Messiah they’re looking for. But again, I ask, why would they begin looking at them when we’re not provoking them to jealously for what we have when what we display is hard feelings towards Jews and articles like this? That’s all I was saying, man, and you look it into another western church spin on what you’ve been taught in your scholar schools and you’ve become an apologetic to the church, not to truth. Quit being antisemetic and look at things like Paul did. Look at things through their eyes (1 Corinthians 9:20) and then as a group of believers, we should fix what they see so we can lead them to that jealous and zealousness for God.

I’m a defended of truth, not of the so-called church. If you feel the need to block me, go ahead. I’m not angry in the least bit, just disappointed.

    1. I’ve given you numerous opportunities to exegete the text and you have not done so. I will not be responding to anything else you have to say.

(and I’ve never been to a “scholar school,” sorry)

and sees how our church acts today: you need to convert to Christianity to accept Jesus.

      Crazy how that works.

what a encouraging statement, you have a lot of truth spocken here, its all the work of the spirit of GOD,christianity is not a jewish thing or a gentile thing or even a religiouse thing, its a whosoever will come thing ,and they are drawn by the father himself by the holy spirit, new life is given by GOD himself,so while anyone is seeking,GOD im sure has begun a good work in the heart because without, the spirit of GOD working with someone ,they dont seek GOD,they are walking dead, new life is purely given by GOD,im sorrry the church has failed in presenting the preciouse beauty of a fellowship with the father and the son,to know yeshua is to know the father in a very close intamite way, with a clean conscience before GOD..because of the sacrafice he made to cleanse our conscience from dead works ,wich they had to do in the old testament, for the sins of the people..so in his body the lamb of GOD..was a perfect sacrifice in the new covanent or testament,we know that those sacrifices in the old tesament did not ,cleanse there conscience, but we know that the son of GOD the messiah, not only took our sins away but also gives a a clean conscience before GOD..and his holy spirit teaches and makes his word good to our heart..
